Live in the Peel Region
People are attracted to Peel by the natural and built environment it offers. The natural environment is a strong drawcard for the Peel giving this region its distinctive, characteristic lifestyle based on its diverse physical features, unique ecosystems, and abundant waterways. It is also a critical component of the regional economy, particularly experience and environmental tourism.
Positioning itself as a progressive, prosperous and dynamic region with a culture of care, Peel’s growing population is supported by health and recreation services, large mining operations, civil and residential construction, manufacturing, and social services.
A careful blend of conservation and innovation is vital to ensure the Peel’s natural assets are preserved for future generations and economic development will be geared to protecting both the natural and built environment.
Our former Chair, Paddi Creevey, is featured in the following clip talking about the Peel Business Park, part of the Transform Peel initiative, in an Our Town episode on the Peel.
This Our Town episode features some of the reasons that make people want to live, visit, work, and invest in Peel, including the Peel Business Park, and how this project is creating new industries, more jobs and better opportunities through innovation for people in the Peel region.
