2014-15 Peel Regional Grants Scheme & Peel Community Chest Fund are Now Open

The Peel Development Commission is seeking applications for the State Government 2014-15 Royalties for Regions Peel Regional Grants Scheme and Community Chest fund.

The Commission has been allocated $1.1million for the Peel Regional Grants Scheme.

This scheme is aimed at bigger projects to help attract investment, increase job opportunities and improve the quality of life in the region.

Individual grants are available between $20,001 and $300,000. Applications close Thursday, December 11, 2014 and projects must be conducted during 2015.

The Peel Community Chest Fund of $370,000 covers grants up to and including $20,000.

There is no formal closing date for application to the Community Chest funds and they will be assessed regularly until the total funds are committed.

Both funding programs are for community, public and not-for-profit organisations to improve and develop infrastructure and services in the region.

All applications are required to demonstrate that their projects align with one or more of the Royalties for Regions program objectives and the Peel Regional Development Commission’s strategic direction.

2010-11 Royalties for Regions Regional Grant Scheme

The Minister for Regional Development, Hon Brendon Grylls MLA, announced the successful applicants to the Royalties for Regions Peel Region Grants Scheme 2010-11 on 26 August 2011.

The Scheme is administered by the Peel Development Commission as part of the Royalties for Regions Program. Royalties for Regions is a State Government program designed to promote long-term development in Western Australia’s regions. It aims to help local communities grow and prosper through the promotion of local decision-making and is specifically designed to help regions attract the resources needed to support development.
