A series of public forums will be held across the Peel region between Monday October 13th and Wednesday October 15th 2014 to identify key issues that impact local workforce planning

The forums, which are being conducted on behalf of the Department of Training and Workforce and the Peel Workforce Development Alliance, are part of a broad consultation process that will lead to the preparation of A Peel Workforce Development Plan for 2015-2018.

 The overall purpose of the plan will be to identify current and future workforce development and skills needed of the region and develop strategies to ensure these needs are addressed.

The focus of these forums is too gauge the local perspective on key regional workforce challenges and trends; Identify challenges for youth in terms of education, training and employment; discuss potential strategies, actions and priorities that could be considered when developing the Plan.

Forum details

 Mandurah: October 13th – 9am to 10.30am, Merlin Street Pavilion- 2-30 Merlin Street Falcon.
 
Waroona: October 15th – 10am to 11.30am, Waroona CRC, 10 Henning Street, Waroona.

Pinjarra: October 15th – 4pm to 5.30pm, Murray House CRC, 14 James Street, Pinjarra.
