The sixth round of successful Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants were announced on Tuesday 7 November 2023 for the Peel region by the Minister for Regional Development, the Hon Don Punch MLA. Six projects will share $453,000 in Round 6 grants to support agribusiness, manufacturing, and tourism sectors to stimulate business growth and create more job opportunities in the region.

Groundswell Drivethru | Groundswell Drive Thru will allocate their $150,000 grant to establish a Mandurah facility for coffee roasting and chocolate production, enhancing their capacity to create freeze-dried coffee and milk products at the Food Innovation Precinct WA’s Food Technology Facility. | $150,000 |
Thorny Devil Brewing Company | Thorny Devil Brewing Company has been awarded $100,000 to install a canning line and additional brewery equipment which will enable it to increase its production capacity and efficiency. | $100,000 |
Honey West | Honey West will use their $100,000 grant to purchase equipment to transition from a wholesale to a retail business and increase production of honey, refined bees wax and bee pollen. | $100,000 |
Peel Tyre Service | Peel Tyre Service will use their $43,000 grant to install a heavy-duty wheel and tyre changing machine, and create an outdoor undercover work zone for agricultural and commercial operations. | $43,000 |
Corporate Canal Cruises Pty Ltd | Corporate Canal Cruises has received $30,000 funding to hire a vessel to determine the feasibility of running Aboriginal cultural tours in Mandurah. | $30,000 |
Salt & Ember Glamping | Salt & Ember Glamping will use their $30,000 grant to develop upscale camping accommodation in the Peel region. | $30,000 |
